“Could the story lines be any better?”
— Terry Lister, head coach, Mile High Blaze
DIVISION 2: ST. LOUIS SLAM WIN D2 Championship! Back-to-back!
DIVISION 3: Arkansas Wildcats Defeat Orlando Anarchy, 42-26
Good stories don’t necessarily make great games, but Coach Lister thinks that the stories can make the games more compelling. Below, he shares his insight about the unfolding drama behind the scenes and what you should think about as we barrel into W Bowl II.
Division 1: Two undefeated teams face-off
Boston – Beat Chicago to continue their perfect season, this team just finds a way to win no matter what.
Dallas – Also undefeated, make their 3rd straight appearance in the D1 ship, after coming so close against D.C. the last two years, Dallas’ hunger for a ring is undeniable.
Division 2:
Tampa Bay – Beat Montreal at a neutral site in New York and now have a chance at revenge against St Louis from last year.
St Louis – Repeat visit to the ship, very hard to do, with a chance at becoming back-to-back champs.
Division 3:
Arkansas Wildcats – Beat southern Oregon in Southern Oregon; A team of 13 players dedicating their season to a teammate lost in a car accident.
Orlando Anarchy – Beat Toledo in Toledo to make their appearance in the ship the season after last year’s Pulse tragedy took the life of a coach and injured a teammate.
